Online seminar: Building knowledge in companies, training and further education for the circular economy

In a study conducted in 2019 on Potentials and obstacles for the circular economy in Austria asked about the resources that organisations need to exploit their potential and face the challenges that a transition to a circular economy entails. One of the findings was that organisations need knowledge - both on a thematic level (80 %) and on a concrete internal level (69 %). Our online seminar therefore focuses on examples of how knowledge can be built up for the transformation at both an individual and organisational level.

To this end, we invited experts from higher education and the corporate sector to share their experiences.

Christopher Kronenberg holds the endowed professorship for value creation and business models at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna. His research focuses and expertise lie in the areas of strategy, innovation, business model development for start-ups and SMEs as well as regional development and the competitiveness of regions and clusters.

Raffaela Ortner is head of the Group ESG Strategy department at the A1 Telekom Austria Group and studied economics at the London School of Economics and environmental management and ecotoxicology at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum.
