Werner Kössler is an expert in Health-Safety-Environment-, Business Continuity- and Sustainability Management with 30 years of experience in various industries and companies. He has worked for Adler-Werk Lackfabrik, ECOTEAM, Montanwerke Brixlegg AG, Arbonia-Forster-Group AG, Novartis and Swarovski. Werner is now working as a management consultant again, focussing on his main areas of expertise.
His vocation and passion lies in actively shaping companies to consciously and comprehensively recognise aspects of sustainability, in particular resource efficiency and climate protection. The circular economy plays an essential role for Werner, as it links the two topics. This is why he supports the Circular Economy Forum Austria with his broad experience from the industry.
Werner has successfully realised many complex projects to improve sustainability performance, conserve resources and reduce emissions. Starting with the introduction of management systems according to ISO standards, the development of processes for comprehensive data collection and reporting and the conceptualisation of circular economy models. This is always embedded in organisational development programmes in order to anchor the positive changes in the long term.
Werner is also a book author and lecturer at the University of Innsbruck.
"An economic system based solely on growth, measured by GDP/GNP, is not sustainable. In order to survive with limited resources on a finite planet, a fundamental rethink and an economic reorientation are imperative. However, the awareness and skills for this must first be created on a broad basis, because the world is still 92% linear and only 8% circular! With a properly understood and comprehensively applied circular economy, we will succeed in changing this imbalance for the better, which is why I am enthusiastically involved in the Circular Economy Forum Austria"
