Webinar: A Circular Economy Without Borders

Opportunities for regional & cross-border implementation

Companies from Austria and Slovenia demonstrate how the circular economy and digitalisation are being implemented across borders

The circular economy is an economic lever: it can enable new business models, make more efficient use of resources and reduce dependencies. However, as an individual company, its implementation is limited. Nevertheless, our thinking often stops at our own factory gates or, at the very latest, at national borders, even though suitable solutions, partners or material flows are sometimes right on our doorstep.

The cross-border INTERREG project VIRIDI brings together companies from Austria and Slovenia and supports them in putting the circular economy and digitalisation into practice within their organisations. In the webinar, participating companies will provide an insight into how they have implemented these concepts: What approaches were taken? How did they go about it? What results were achieved, and what obstacles did they have to overcome in the process?

The webinar is aimed at companies wishing to learn from the experiences of others, gain practical insights into implementation and discuss their own questions directly with the participating companies. Following the case studies, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. For companies wishing to implement the approach themselves, the VIRIDI Academy providing access to the content, learning materials and tools developed as part of the project.

To round off the webinar, project manager Barbara Wrolich will show how companies can make use of these resources to plan their next steps.
