Further developing sustainable procurement

Many companies are already engaged in sustainable procurement. At the same time, the question is being asked with increasing frequency:

Does every service required really have to be provided by purchasing a product?

In some areas of procurement, it may make sense to procure not the product itself, but its function or performance, which offers economic, environmental and organisational benefits.

Aims of the three-part workshop:

  • A basic understanding of the concept
  • an identified area of application for performance-based procurement
  • a structured feasibility study
  • a clear business case to serve as a basis for management’s decision-making
  • an initial draft of a call for tenders

The first workshop offers a a concise introduction introduces you to the topic and helps you to, to assess the potential for your business.

  • What is the difference between traditional product procurement and performance-based procurement?
  • For which product categories is this approach particularly suitable?
  • What criteria can help in selecting a suitable area of application?
  • What examples of good practice are there already?
