Interwoven: slow fashion and the green transition

As the end of the Danish EU Presidency approaches, the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Denmark in Vienna is organising a series of events on 5 and 6 December to strengthen interest in sustainability and promote a deeper sense of collective engagement in this field together with its Austrian partners.

Programme

5 December 2025

At 6 p.m., Danish crochet designer and social media personality Rose Svane will present her book at Thalia Mariahilferstrasse.

At 7 p.m., Danish zero waste activist and author Gittemarie Johansen will give a talk and sign books at Hafi Books+Coffee.

6 December 2025

12:00: Rose Svane will host a crocheting workshop for one of her viral designs at Cinema Paradiso Baden. The ticket includes all necessary materials. Buy your ticket here

5 p.m.: Panel discussion on Slow Fashion & the Green Transition at the VHS Urania, moderated by the Austrian Fashion Revolution. Panellists include Rose Svane (Hot Girls Crochet), Gittemarie Johansen (Sustainable Badass), Olga Milevska (Simply Repair) and Viktoria Peschl (Viktoria & Viktor).
