From 01.01.2028, the GWP must beLC (Global Warming Potential) must be included in the energy performance certificate for all new buildings with a floor area of 1,000 m² or more. In this update issue, we provide an overview of the current status of developments and show what building law requirements the industry will face.
Peter Kneidinger, materialnomaden GmbH, uses the example of the implementation project LenA, how reused building elements can be successfully integrated into the value chain. In doing so, he explores the question of how warranties can be provided for reused elements and what advantages can be realised through circular construction in the CO2-accounting. Using two product development processes, he explains the underlying business cases for industry and trades and demonstrates how the circular economy can act as a sustainable economic driver in the construction and property sector.
