The transition to a circular economy is key to helping cities achieve their climate goals and ensure a sustainable future. It offers a new alternative to build more resilient, inclusive and local communities.
The Circular City Challenge is looking for potential solutions to transition from the traditional linear to the circular economy in order to create thriving cities. Proposed solutions must relate to at least one of four areas: Resource Management, Digital Technologies, System Infrastructure, and/or Consumption and Consumer Awareness.
Are you working on a project that addresses these challenges?
As part of the Circular City Challenge, organisations and companies are called upon to find answers to the four challenges in the transformation to a circular urban system. We are looking for innovative solutions at all stages of development, from implementation concepts and prototypes to new companies, project alliances and service providers. It is particularly important that the solutions have the potential to play a pioneering role in shaping the transformation from a linear economic system to a circular economy in order to create liveable cities.
By participating, you have the opportunity to present your solutions and projects directly to the representatives of the four participating cities, Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich and Vienna, and to receive support.
The Circular Economy Forum Austria supports the Circular City Challenge in communicating the submission and the results.
