Experience an evening full of cinematic inspiration, critical reflection and exciting discussions about the future of our use of resources in a circular economy.
"Deep Rising" - narrated and produced by Jason Momoa - takes us into the fascinating and largely unexplored world of the deep sea.
With impressive shots of the oceans and rare insights into fragile ecosystems, the film shows how closely Geopolitics, economy and science are intertwined.
At the centre is the controversial question of the Deep-sea mining - a practice designed to extract valuable metals such as cobalt, nickel and rare earths, which are considered indispensable for the green transformation.
But at what price?
Do we really need new raw material limits - or can we circular strategies offer the better way?
🎞️ The film will be shown in English original version with German subtitles shown.
Before the film screening there will be a Panel discussion in English with leading experts from Politics, science, business and civil society instead.
Together, they will shed light on key issues relating to resource utilisation, sustainability and the role of the circular economy in the green transformation.
Following the film, we invite you to a Networking buffet with space for personal discussions, dialogue and new ideas.
