What is it about?
Circular tourism offers Austrian cities and regions the opportunity to utilise resources more efficiently, reduce waste and promote sustainable value creation - a key building block on the road to a circular economy.
We take the Position paper "Circular Tourism - from theory to practice" by Anna Köhl, Sophie Lener, Harald Friedl and Werner Kössler, on behalf of the Tirol Tourist Board's Competence Centre for Sustainability, as an opportunity to discuss the topic and the associated challenges and opportunities in more detail and to discuss implementation steps.

The roundtables
The Circular Cities & Regions Roundtable (CCRR) serves the regular and structured exchange of circular economy activities and initiatives in the Federal states, cities, municipalities and regions Austria. It is made possible by the Circular Economy Forum Austria over three years with the kind support of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).
In Four roundtables per year offers all participants the opportunity to network, to learn with and from each other, to share best practice examples or to organise excursions.
This enables innovative collaborations to be tested, projects to be implemented and scaling to be promoted. Target: regional implementation of the circular economy strategy and acceleration of the Austrian circular economy transformation.

This event is aimed exclusively at decision-makers and multipliers at various administrative levels, including federal states, cities, regions and municipal institutions with different levels of expertise.
