Marlene is the managing director of MindXa consulting firm for circular economy. She has 10 years of experience in M&A, Venture Capital, Consulting, Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy in Europe, Africa and Asia. She joins the Circular Economy Forum Austria as Advisor for Circular Transitions, Business Models and Innovation.
Marlene supports companies in their first steps towards the circular economy by providing knowledge about what the circular economy is and how companies can benefit from it, helping to design strategies for the circular economy, identifying opportunities and supporting companies in the implementation phase of projects.
Marlene is focusing on the transition to a circular economy because, as she emphasises, we don't have much time left to do anything about the climate crisis. At the same time, she sees the circular economy as a driver of innovation and sustainability that will enable us to preserve our planet for future generations and create prosperity. In her opinion, the circular economy is also a huge business opportunity for companies, as it enables them to open up new areas of business, mitigate risks and build a positive image.
In order to successfully implement the circular economy in the long term, greater cooperation between companies and their stakeholders is necessary. This is why platforms such as the Circular Economy Forum Austria are so important - they enable companies to build up expertise, exchange ideas and learn across sectors in order to roll out the circular economy at national and European level as quickly as possible.
