Our dependence on energy and raw material imports has made the vulnerability of our economy and society abundantly clear. But what would our world look like if it were "circular"? What are the prerequisites for a circular economy in Austria? These and other questions were at the heart of the Focus Day organised by CEOs FOR FUTURE and the Circular Economy Forum Austria on 6 October, which took place in the newly opened Climate Lab at Spittelau in Vienna.
Experts and representatives from business, science and education as well as from CEOs FOR FUTURE and Circular Economy Forum Austria discussed common goals, key conditions and approaches on how the circular economy can become more important for companies and contribute to solving energy and raw material dependencies.
In short workshops led by CEOs FOR FUTURE board member Rainer Peraus and Circular Economy Forum Austria Executive Director Karin Huber-Heim, participants developed a comprehensive understanding and essential conditions for circular systems and discussed the importance of a profound change in awareness.
