Together for a circular future.

EU Taxonomy

This report provides a concise summary of the EU taxonomy and is relevant for all companies that will be classified by financial actors in terms of their financial viability in the future. Economic activities must fulfil all of the standards and conditions listed in order to be classified as an environmentally sustainable economic activity in at least one of the six categories of the taxonomy. The transition to a circular economy is one of these categories and has been provided with classification criteria for the assessment.

In a first step, this concerns Public Interest Entities, PIEs, with ≥500 employees. If your company has a need for investment from the private sector in the coming years, we recommend that you read the full report here.

The report consists of a one-page summary that 1. outlines the requirements for economic activities as part of the EU taxonomy, 2. describes the application of the technical screening criteria, and 3. contains the definitions of the taxonomy as well as the monitoring of compliance with the criteria.

Is your company looking for private investments on the financial market in the next few years? Would you like to know how your activities will be categorised by financial players in the future?
