The Circular Economy Forum Austria was organised by the Association for Charitable Foundations with a focus on Foundations & the Environment as the first Lighthouse project for foundations as actors for environmental and climate protection identified. In cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), the association wants to inform more philanthropic players and thus enable more involvement in the environmental sector.

On 24 November 2021, the first online Future workshop on philanthropy and the circular economy - taking action with a keynote speech and a discussion panel with the participation of the Circular Economy Forum Austria. August Grupp from Stölzle Glassand the Company flourishes (portrayed by the Climate change platform), showed their circulation systems in practice.
The dialogue with the newly appointed Ambassadors of the circular economy charitable donations for the association, Karin Huber-Heim and Stefan Blachfellner, Ruth Williams and Ursula Seethaler talked about a project by and for committed people.
(...) In Austria, there has been a lack of support, which is an important part of the system change. The Circlular Economy Forum Austria initiative was founded to close this gap. The Bertalanffy Centre hosts the forum, provides the interdisciplinary space for reflection and ensures the independence of the forum, while at the same time having a unifying effect.
(...) We are an inclusive format that wants to move as many people as possible.
(...) I think the main difference is that we think in terms of ecosystems - in other words, we are constantly putting new elements in relation to each other, thinking about new and unusual combinations that can be conducive to transformation. The development of a system means trying to relate all the individual elements that are already there or will develop in the coming years and to bring them into exchange, to allow the overall organism to grow.
