On 9 May, the Circular Economy Forum Austria, together with VIENNA ENERGY and CEOs FOR FUTURE to the documentary film "Matter out of Place" at STADTKINO.
The Circular Economy Forum Austria showed the Documentary film "Matter out of Place" in which Austrian director Nikolaus Geyrhalter shows our rubbish and the people who try to remove it - without many words, in impressive images.
In a regenerative circular economy, there is virtually no waste or rubbish, only "residual materials" that are fed back into the cycle. This sounds utopian to most people because we lack the experience and images of such a way of living and doing business.
We gave the film a Conversation with director Nikolaus Geyrhalter, as well as proponents from business, politics and the media, and discussed the Topic "FUTURE IMAGE OF CIRCULAR ECONOMY - What methods, images and narratives are needed for transformation?".
The City cinema sees itself as a meeting place, a place of discovery, discussion and engagement with the medium of film for all generations and therefore offered the ideal setting for the event and the joint conclusion at the "Aperitivo Circulare".
The event was organised with the kind support of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology carried out.

Panel discussion with director Nikolaus Geyrhalter, #BIENNALEFORCHANGE-Initiator Christoph Thun-Hohenstein, CEOs FOR FUTURE Advisory Board Member & Head of Sustainable Solutions & Circular Economy at Wien Energie GmbH Laura Fariello, Alicia Prager from the Network Climate Journalism Austria and awareness activist Jeanny Gucher.
