The ISO 59000 standards package was developed to support organisations worldwide in their transition to a sustainable, resilient, circular economy. Circular Globe, Quality Austria and the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems have created a presentation for the event that deals with the implementation of the circular economy based on this set of standards.
The ISO 59000 series comprises several standards, including ISO 59004, which defines the framework and principles for implementing the circular economy. ISO 59010 provides guidelines for adapting business models and value networks to the requirements of the circular economy, while ISO 59020 describes methods for measuring and evaluating the circularity performance of systems.
The presentation explains the development process of these standards and how they can be applied in organisations to promote circular business strategies. It also introduces the Circular Globe® label, which serves as an assessment model to evaluate the maturity of organisations in terms of their circular economy practices.
