In February 2022, Businesstalk Verlag in Berlin asked for a discussion on climate change, environmental pollution and the goal of a circular economy. The Interview with Stefan Blachfellner, Managing Director of the Circular Economy Forum Austria, led by Monique Fritsche is now online.
(...) Digital innovation, climate protection, job creation and growth within planetary boundaries promote location development as well as increasing resilience and enabling greater independence from global supply chains.
(...) From a business perspective, the circular economy is an innovation challenge that can reduce costs, create more resilient and independent supply chains and processes and secure value contributions.
(...) So this is not an ideological debate about society. You can have it if the business model is to win votes.
(...) In a united Europe, we are investing in the future and not in the past in the transformation towards a circular economy. Costs are incurred, investments pay off. Instead of financing economic and living models that are no longer adequate, we should invest in sustainable, future-proof solutions and business models.
