Together for a circular future.

Circular Economy & SDGs Online Roundtable

The circular economy plays a key role in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By promoting a resource-efficient economy that avoids waste, recycles materials and conserves natural resources, it makes a significant contribution to the transformation towards a more sustainable and future-proof society.

In a joint (online) discussion round on 4 October, the UN Global Compact Network Austria, together with Circular Economy Forum Austria and representatives from business, politics and civil society, discussed how the transition to a circular economy can be actively shaped in order to contribute to achieving the SDGs in Austria. Challenges were discussed and ways of cooperation between politics, business and civil society were identified. Furthermore, the webinar series "Circular Economy" of the UN Global Compact Network Germany, which starts on 8 October 2024, was presented.
