Online seminar: Modelling value creation cycles for entrepreneurial implementation

In the course of realising a circular economy, it will become increasingly important to consider product properties that will only become apparent in later use at the development and design stage. This applies, for example, to properties such as modularity, reparability or recyclability, the necessary compliance with which has already been promised by legislation.

In order to deliver closed-loop designs and to test functionalities, potentials, individual risks and value-added promises during development, cross-company models, data and simulation tools (e.g. Digital twins) are provided or used. The necessary technologies for cross-company data-based simulation processes exist, but in some cases they fundamentally change classic product design processes with new, unfamiliar and complex challenges for the entire company management. Practical experience therefore recommends a step-by-step approach.

We use a concrete implementation example to demonstrate methodology and feasibility.

Using concrete realisations, we show how to work with Knowledge Engines knowledge can be automatically made available to external parties without revealing company expertise. The protected implementation framework and the low technical barriers to entry have helped the companies participating so far to gain valuable insights. One of the company partners involved will talk about his experiences.

With this online seminar, we invite other interested companies to identify their cross-company value creation with the development of value creation cycles. In an existing FFG project managed by the Linz Centre of Mechatronics, all framework conditions and support structures are already available. The participation volume of a participating company comprises approximately one person-month.
