Systemic thinking

In Austria, the circular economy is still often equated with recycling. This is too short-sighted, as the circular economy requires completely new business models and systemic change. SMEs play a key role in this.

(...) a "systemic innovation for the circular economy" is needed. This starts with education and training. We still produce a lot of business people who have not learnt to think in a networked, collaborative and systemic way. In truth, this should be a core economic competence in the future.
