Free lunchtime talk on 14 July: How can you ensure that the procurement of re-used components complies with legal requirements?

In architectural competitions, reuse concepts are already the norm. However, when it comes to actual implementation, those involved in the project are often faced with the same questions:

  • Are there enough components available on the market?
  • When do they need to be procured to ensure the schedule is met?
  • And above all: how can a tender for procurement be organised in a way that is both legally compliant and successful?

The enormous potential for climate action is still too often thwarted by organisational and legal hurdles. This is precisely where we come in. Our aim is to provide participants with the tools they need to implement circular economy projects in a legally compliant manner.

At the upcoming Concular Lunchtalk, we will be examining effective procurement strategies for building components and interior fittings, the right timing in the planning process, and the current legal situation in Austria.

In cooperation with the Circular Economy Forum Austria.

Programme

To illustrate this, we’ll present two compelling real-life examples:

  • Alexander Herold (Property Management Officer at @deutschebahn) reports on the experience gained from an EU-wide tender for the procurement of re-used and refurbished furniture for DB offices.
  • Christian Richter-Schöller (partner at Schiefer Rechtsanwälte) examines the topic within the context of Austrian public procurement law and discusses the impact of innovation on current regulations.
  • Together with Kathrina Rieger from the Concular team, we will also use the specific example of a window procurement project to demonstrate how the process can be successfully managed.
