However, AI consumes an enormous amount of electricity and it is questionable whether the demand can be met with renewables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In addition to identifying cross-sectoral applications of the circular economy for AI, the paper also takes a closer look at the food and electronics industries. It analyses how AI is already being used in these industries or could be used in the future to enable and accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
