They all have one thing in common: they are based on a circular economy model, as not only individual life cycle phases are taken into account in product planning, but all aspects - from the procurement of raw materials and the actual utilisation phase through to disposal - are considered in the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pioneers are addressing sustainability problems in the smartphone industry through innovative approaches such as modular designs, sustainable procurement channels and the longest possible usage phases.
